‘The Man’ Becky Lynch is going to reach a full year as RAW Women’s Champion, after she managed to outwit Shayna Baszler at Wrestlemania 36. She went strike for strike with the Submission Magician, and was able to counter the rear naked choke into a pinfall to leave with her title. Despite Shayna being the last real target on RAW for Becky Lynch, she lost like the rest, joining Asuka, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey and more who have failed to beat Lynch. This has fans asking: who can beat Becky Lynch?
Shayna Baszler Will Look For A Rematch
Due to getting caught by a pinfall counter, Baszler will be furious and demand a rematch under rules that suit The Queen Of Spades better. This would likely come in a submission match, or even a return of The Lion’s Den match. There is no way she will give up after a single loss, but she seems unlikely to win the title due to reports of Vince McMahon losing faith in her after bland main event performances. Her match with Lynch at Wrestlemania was her best yet outside of NXT, but that isn’t saying much.
She Never Beat Nia Jax
The Man has been collecting debts since she took on this persona, but there is one she never claimed. That belongs to Nia Jax, the woman who broke her face and halted the match between Lynch & Rousey for Survivor Series. While Lynch got some shots on her backstage, they never had a proper match to settle their differences. Jax could rejoin the RAW roster, and be the one person Lynch hasn’t taken out yet.
Becky Lynch Might Break Trish Stratus’s Reign
WWE loves to have their modern stars make history, and just as The New Day beat the record of Demolition, Becky Lynch could beat the 448 day reign of Trish Stratus. Not counting the controversial Fabulous Moolah and her 18 years as champion when she held that part of the industry with an iron grip, Stratus has the longest reign in the modern history of the belt. She is also someone who can still come back for a match to try and maintain her record as Lynch draws closer. With Lynch at 363 days, she won’t have long to go, and with COVID-19 shutting down sporting events, she might very well pass it without needing anymore defenses.
