Tegan Nox has had her issues with Dakota Kai ever since NXT Takeover War Games. Kai on that night, turned on Nox and ever since then has been a thorn in her side. Add in Raquel Gonzales as her muscle, and Dakota Kai is someone to fear. Last week, we saw Nox face Gonzales and win, thanks to help from Shotzi Blackheart. This has lead to a tag team contest, where Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart will face Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzales. Who would leave victorious?
Raquel Gonzales & Dakota Kai Are Too Much
Shotzi would arrive in style, riding to the ring on a mini tank, in what has become the best entrance in NXT. She has a personal bone to pick in this match, as she was taken out of the second chance gauntlet match after beating everyone else by Kai. Nox would soon join her, before Gonzales & Kai would make their way down again.
The match began with Gonzales and Nox, with Nox attempting a roll up, which was easily stopped by the powerhouse. She would tag in Shotzi, who sent Gonzales into the corner with a dropkick, allowing Kai to enter the match. They would quickly battle for control, with a fired up Shotzi getting the upper hand with her unique offense before tagging Nox in. They came in with a game-plan, working together perfectly to pick apart the duo.
However, over the commercial break, Kai & Gonzales would regain control, and Gonzales would ram Blackheart into the corner before Kai continued her attack. This would fail, then Nox & Gonzales found themselves in the match. Clearly having learned from last weeks match, Nox would stick to strikes as she picked away at Gonzalzes, dodging whatever was thrown back at her. Gonzales would be rocked with a kick to the face as Nox took to the top rope, but she would be caught into a Fall-away Slam out of midair, thankfully rolling the corner to tag in Shotzi.
Catching a falling opponent wouldn’t work twice, as Shotzi would hit a diving senton, taking Gonzales down for a near fall. Kai would come into the ring, with Nox intercepting which lead to a brawl on the outside. This left Shotzi & Gonzales alone, and after attempting a frankensteinter, Shotzi would be hit with a massive powerbomb which would end the match.
This is only another chapter in the feud between Nox & Kai, but once again Nox is on the losing side. Both her & Shotzi tried their best to get the win, but Gonzales is too much.
