While it seems like eons ago now, people recently cared about Bobby Lashley. During his time in Impact Wrestling, he was one of the most impressive wrestlers in the world once again. His match quality was high, he was intense, and truly felt like a destructive force. Add in his dominance within the Octogon for Bellator MMA, and you can see why WWE were interested in him once again. However, his WWE return has been lacking. Outside of a blink and you’ll miss it run as WWE Intercontinental Champion and a confusing storyline with Rusev & Lana, he could have been forgotten on the roster. This could change with a new attitude.
Bobby Lashley Is Going To Split From Lana
With the love triangle storyline long dead, and Lana having costed Lashley his match against Aleister Black from Wrestlemania 36, it is time to see a more serious version of Bobby Lashley once again. He wanted to hit the Dominator, but Lana yelled for the spear instead, which lead to Lashley getting rocked with Black Mass for the loss. This could have been the win that boosted him back to a main event level, but instead that went to Black, all because of Lana.
He Called For A Restart At Wrestlemania
“Tonight is the second night of Wrestlemania. The show of shows. I face a man tonight who is on the roll of a lifetime right now. He’s a martial artist with a mean streak. He’s an animal who doesn’t lose. His kicks and impacts are brutal. He’s taken out some of the best guys in our industry.
He’s NOT Bobby Lashley.
270 pounds of muscle and over six feet of machine. The best athlete to ever step foot in WWE. The ONLY beast of WWE. If you really thing you’re ready for that Aleister, then by all means let’s square up. Many thing they’re ready, few actually have been. Tonight is the restart of the ass-kicker, the destructive one, the DOMINATOR, the All Might, Bobby. Freaking. Lashley.”
A loss is no way to restart, but a more aggressive and serious Lashley was seen in that match. It just takes getting rid of the week link to win again.
