WWE Monday Night Raw continues and our opening match is for the WWE United States Championship, Andrade defending against Apollo Crews. Even for this fake crowd that is on a script, Andrade is clearly more over as a heel than Apollo is as a babyface.

He talks about the passion of conquering and the exhausted bliss and it’s as many euphemisms as possible. Meanwhile Apollo is taking to Andrade, Overhead Belly To Belly sends him into the corner! Blue Thunder Bomb reverses into a Rana into the corner, Meteora! Andrade covers for a naaaaarrow nearfall! Crews fights back with a Pele Kick! Military Press, Standing Moonsault and then a Standing Shooting Star and… he gets it!!
Winner: Apollo Crews
Huh, didn’t use his new finish. That was also shorter than I was expecting, but was some good stuff as it was happening. Feels good to see Crews hold some gold, took long enough.
Afterwards he’s interviewed in the ring and asked what it means to finally win his first title. Crowd applauds him. Apollo says when he first started on this journey, people told him he couldn’t do it and laughed in his face. Why would they say that, he’s a jacked boy… but he never gave up and he’s made it happen. When his body gave out on him against Andrade, he knew people were thinking that was it, he blew his chance. But he never quit, he always believed in himself. And now he can stand in this ring and say to the whole world that he’s the new United States Champion!
Backstage Andrade is pitching a fit, throwing stuff and making a mess.
