WWE Monday Night Raw commences with MVP’s VIP Lounge. He talks about how this show went awry last week with a chaotic brawl that ended up tearing up his beautiful set. That was after he interviewed the Raw participants in the Men’s Money In The Bank match, which resulted in a six-man tag match, basically the first domino that eventually led to the Last Chance Gauntlet that’s coming up in just a few moments. But MVP says we’ve moved past that now, back into class. Tonight he introduces the Raw participants in the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match instead, that being Asuka, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
Nia Jax speaks first and boasts about injuring Kairi Sane which of course sets Asuka off. She seems to call her a big bully. When asked for comment, Shayna starts by saying she’s not going to respond only to then respond and say she can run through anyone else in this match. Asuka and Shayna stand up and confront each other as the former starts shouting in Japanese. They then both turn towards Nia Jax who stands up with a confused look – Asuka and Shayna nail Jax with a simultaneous big boot and it takes her to the outside! Asuka and Shayna are squaring off, MVP has to try and keep them separated. The segment ends with the two of them arguing.
We’re then shown what happened with Apollo Crews last week.
The injury saw him limping on crutches and as a result he lost his spot in the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match. Thus tonight we’re having a Last Chance Gauntlet match, which appears to be the opening match. Who is in it, and even how many people will be involved is not something they saw fit to tell us. It’s being played up like a big mystery instead. Much rumors abound about AJ Styles possibly making his return for this. For what it’s worth the Money In The Bank match itself – both of them technically – has already been taped in advance, atleast that seems to be the case. So that rumor may have a very real bit of evidence. But the first two people involved in the gauntlet are Bobby Lashley and… unbelievably, Titus O’Neil, of all people. A powerhouse pair to square off, I suppose.
