WWE Monday Night Raw is going on. We come back to see Buddy Murphy taking on Humberto Carrillo, already in progress.
Buddy Murphy vs. Humberto Carrillo
Humberto with a couple of flying headscissor takedowns. To the apron, shoulder thrust, flip over Buddy’s head, dodges a few shots, Buddy takes him to the apron, Humberto with an enziguri and goes up top. Buddy rushes up to the second rope, hooks him for a superplex, Humberto with a knee to the face, but Buddy trips him to the mat! Buddy with kicks to the back, cover for 2. Chinlock, Humberto fights up with a Jawbreaker. Strike exchange, Carrillo wins out with an enziguri! Takes him to the apron, Springboard Enziguri sends him to the floor, Corkscrew Tope wipes him out! Throws him into the ring. Seth Rollins steps up close to Carrillo to distract him, Carrillo leaps off the top rope but Murphy catches him with a high knee, Murphy’s Law gets the victory.
Winner: Buddy Murphy
I’m pretty sad at how short that was, that could’ve been a great match. I’m not sure I’ve ever actually seen these guys square off before either. Booking like this didn’t get Carrillo over before and it still won’t by the way. Afterwards, Murphy gets Humberto with a running knee that takes him to the floor.
Aleister Black’s music hits and he comes out to make the save. He sends Murphy running, barely avoiding a Black Mass. Seth had already started non-nonchalantly walking up the ramp whilst Murphy was still fighting, it’s just kinda by chance that he was still there on the stage when Murphy made his way up to conjoin with him. It’s really getting to the point of stretching believability, how much Murphy just accepts with Seth. I get that he’s the brainwashed disciple and all but they’re gonna want to turn him face and split at some point, yannow? I don’t know if they should really be playing him this delusional.
Backstage, King Corbin demands to get his own private locker room. He asks a referee why there were fingerprint smudges on his crown. No catering, people expect him to go in and out of other buildings to get his food. Do these people actually expect him to get his own food? Asks if this is how they treat their superstars on Raw and then says no, he doesn’t want an answer for that. The screen fades out as he seems to make some sort of plan with the referee.
