Looks like it’s time to get another week started, and CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers is here with the throwback spoiler to get things going. This week we’re heading into Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) country as we’ll get to experience some of her greatest moments and probably some low moments along the way.
One thing Brooke has shown over the years is the resiliency to bounce back and reclimb the mountain, but what really makes her special is Katherine Kelly Lang’s performance. As much as we may be annoyed or even detest the occasional character, it’s largely due to the actor or actress’ ability to bring the printed work to life and draw us into their characters.

That alone should make this a fun week, especially since it’s starting off an episode from January 9, 1991. And yes, they seem to have different blocks set up to pluck these out of. Definitely took some preparation.
Doing it right
There are few, if any, weddings that rivaled Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Brooke’s with the ending being them leaving in a hot air balloon.
Following their wedding, he treats her to a desert oasis for their honeymoon. After landing, they ride horses to a yurt with champagne and candles placed strategically to create as romantic an atmosphere as possible. It’s a great setup that should go down as one of the most well thought out experiences in daytime television history.
Of course, while they’re in blissful ignorance, another battle is raging back in Los Angeles, and Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss) is holding the line against his mother, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery).
Standing true
Stephanie is beyond pissed that Eric followed through with the wedding. The fact that he actually said “I do” to her rival has set her on a path that has forced Ridge to bear the brunt of her tantrum.
While we can’t blame her to some extent, the fact she was at the wedding waiting for him to turn Brooke aside and return to her is heartbreaking. That’s one of the worst letdowns anyone can endure, and, interesting enough, has become the norm for the show. And no, that’s not an endorsement on our behalf.
Still, Ridge stands true and tells his mom she needs to get over her hatred for Brooke and move on with her life. Kinda like that joke about telling a woman to calm down, it doesn’t work. At least, not in the way he hopes.
Stephanie, intent and focused as ever, states that she believes Eric will return to her at some point. Not at all psychotically creeping or anything, right?
