Out of all the episodes CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers has seen this week, this one is going to rate up there with the most emotional of the Lifetime of Love selection. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) have had a decades’ long relationship that has tormented them and others. It’s something to be proud of, even if it’s a bit strange.

Up to this point, the episodes have been filled with more hope and promises for the future than a dark, hopelessness that permeates this episode when Victor and Diane Jenkins (Alex Donnelley)’s relationship comes up. It’s been a fun ride, and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers has really enjoyed this trip down memory lane, but this is going to be a rough one.
Diane has sacrificed a great deal so Victor could be with Nikki when everyone thought she was dying. For those that haven’t seen this before or aren’t familiar with the storyline, Victor agreed to marry Nikki while she was sick, and would marry Diane after Nikki died.
Of course, Nikki is getting better and Victor is finding reasons to stay at her side, and Diane isn’t taking it so well. According to Victor, he intends to stay at her side until Nikki is emotionally and physically healthy again.
Diane has been waiting, and she knows and feels the love between Victor and Nikki, and she doesn’t know how long she can continue to wait.
Waiting is what Victor does best, and in this game, he’ll wait until the best scenario for his happiness comes to fruition.
Victor’s caught between worlds
Despite his claim to Diane, it’s apparent he’s unsure of what’s in his future. There’s what he wants and what he needs, and the two are not mutually exclusive. At least, when it comes to he and Nikki.
There was little doubt even then who he was meant to be with, but obstacles never stopped popping up from time to time. It’s what makes their relationship special, and makes them a true power couple on daytime television, or prime time, for that matter.
They’ve survived some of the greatest lows and highest of highs, and they show no signs of slowing down any time soon. And CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are grateful for this, cause we never get tired of Victor and Nikki.
