On this past weeks episode of NXT, we would see Chelsea Green get another huge chance due to her manager, Robert Stone. She would get the chance to hang with the best of the best in the NXT Women’s Division, teaming with Charlotte Flair as her mystery partner as they faced Rhea Ripley & Io Shirai. Surrounded by pure talent, fans were surprised to see her holding her own in another high pressure situation. She also shined in the 2020 Royal Rumble and the Ladder Match to name a number one contender for Charlotte Flair. But all of these chances were set up by Robert Stone. She won’t have this advantage anymore, as she has fired Robert Stone for some reason.

Despite having an hour and a half of TV every week, and Chelsea Green being a character with always rising prominence, they stuck what could be a major plot point for her in a video most fans would overlook. It was shared to all the social media platforms, with Green retweeting it adding “F I R E D. Fired. As in, goodbye! Adios! Sayonara!” . Her reasoning was sound. After this huge win over Rhea Ripley & Io Shirai (ignoring the fact that Charlotte Flair got the pin), she is the hottest she has ever been, and has moved past the need for Stone as her manager.

Over the past few months, a lowkey story within NXT involved Aliyah trying to get into the Robert Stone Brand. He would come out to a few of her matches to scout her, but the pressure would cause her to make mistakes and lose those matches. Having been in NXT longer than just about anyone, Aliyah needs this guidence much more than Chelsea Green does, with Green always being set to be a star. This allows Stone to move to someone who truly needs him, which could finally help Aliyah become more than a promising prospect. The potential has always been there, and Stone could be the one to help bring this out.
