One of the rising stars of Monday Night RAW is Aleister Black, and he could be set for a major match at Backlash. He has taken issue with The Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins and his lackeys as of late. After being beat down by Rollins, Murphy and their new recruit of Austin Theory, his path is becoming clear for Backlash. What will end up being the match on June 14th?
A Fast Paced Six Man Tag Match
With WWE potentially wanting to save a major singles match between Black & Rollins for a later date, we could see Black get some allies and go to war in a six man tag match with Rollins, Theory & Murphy. Rollins has made plenty of enemies in recent months, so we could see Black team up with people like Rey Mysterio, Humberto Carillo, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and more. We could also see him reunite with his old tag team partner of Ricochet, who would bring Cedric Alexander along as well. There are plenty of options for a great match here. This also gives a way for Seth Rollins to get a PPV win, and it can be done without Aleister Black having to take a fall.
Aleister Black vs. Seth Rollins Is A Match Neither Man Can Lose Yet
On the past two WWE PPV’s, Seth Rollins has stole the show with big singles matches. At Wrestlemania 36, he had a fantastic match with Kevin Owens which saw Rollins lose after being put from the announce table and hit with a stunner. Then at Money In The Bank, he went toe to toe with WWE Champion Drew McInytre in losing fashion.
With how protected Aleister Black has been, with his only singles loss since joining the main WWE roster being against AJ Styles, Rollins would be likely to lose once again should they meet in a singles match. This would make three high profile losses in a row for Rollins, which would really put a damper on his mystique.
