Last nights episode of Smackdown Live began in dramatic fashion, with Elias being run down in the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center. That parking lot has long been a dangerous place, with kidnappings, brawls and now vehicular assault being added to the list of crimes. The arrested culprit was Jeff Hardy, who police suspected due to him being dazed nearby. However, he would return at the end of the show cleared of all accusations. Who was really driving that car?
Sheamus Wants To get Revenge On Jeff Hardy
Since his return, Sheamus has had a bone to pick with Jeff Hardy. This is due to Hardy getting the spotlight with a mini-doc series on his return, while Sheamus who just returned from a near career ending injury got crickets by comparrison. They would clash in a match during the Intercontential Championship tournament, only for Jeff Hardy to advance to the semi-finals. This was just last week on Smackdown, making this loss fresh for Sheamus. The feud won’t be over with one match, and this lets WWE do another match between them down the line.
King Corbin Would Like Nothing More Than To Remove Elias
Since before Wrestlemania 36, Elias & King Corbin have been feuding. They have met many times so far, with both men trading victories. With Corbin having been eliminated from the Intercontential Championship tournament by Elias, he has more reason than ever to want to be rid of the troublesome bard. This also wouldn’t be the first time Corbin has attempted to essentially kill Elias, having sent him plummeting to his death earlier to this year. Elias would survive this, and continue to be a thorn in the side of Corbin going forward. If he was to be hit by a car, maybe he wouldn’t get back up this time.
Corbin & Sheamus very well could be working together on this plot, to remove both Hardy & Elias from the Smackdown roster. Adding to the pile of evidence is that both men were seen later in the night wearing black, matching the description of the suspect at the scene. Their motivations are clear, they are not opposed to brutality, and it progresses two feuds on Smackdown Live. Do you think there is another potential culprit I overlooked?
