After being buried alive by The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 36, AJ Styles would return to take place in the second chance gauntlet match for Money In The Bank. Facing Humberto Carrillo, who just got done facing Bobby Lashley, Angel Garza & Austin Theory, Styles had perhaps the easiest path to the match. The only certified main event talent in this match, Styles would instantly become the fan favorite pick to leave with the briefcase. Will AJ Styles be the one to climb the corporate ladder?
AJ Styles Is Ready To Do Whatever It Takes To Win
Looking to bounce back from his crushing loss at Wrestlemania, AJ Styles has claimed he will do anything to win this match. This makes him dangerous, he is a man with nothing to lose. He has no titles, his running buddies in The OC have been released from WWE, and winning this match could ensure he wins the WWE Championship once again. Having threatened to even throw someone off WWE Headquarters to win this match, he is literally ready to kill his opposition to win this match. We can assume others like King Corbin are willing to do this, but Styles is the only one to mention this possibility.
On WWE Now, Styles also detailed that he has a plan going into this match. He is going to look at a map and find the fastest route to the top of WWE HQ.
One Of The Favorites In WWE
Even when he is not WWE Champion, AJ Styles has been shown to be a clear favorite within WWE. He is consistently one of the strongest booked wrestlers in the company, often to the detriment of people like Cedric Alexander & Ricochet, who left feuds with Styles looking like absolute chumps during Styles reign as United States Champion in 2019. His dependability and in ring ability have been unmatched in recent years, making him an easy favorite with people like Vince McMahon.
Between his willingness to do anything to leave Money in The Bank with a win, and him being a focal point the majority of his WWE career, Styles is another favorite going into this match.
