Money In The Bank is a great way to instantly boost your career to new heights, or to get back to where you once were. Asuka was once a dominant singles champion, but she has struggled as of late to get those major singles victories. Hot off a reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Kairi Sane, Asuka earned her way into this years iteration of Money in The Bank when she beat Ruby Riott on the April 13th episode of Monday Night RAW. Will she be able to climb the corporate ladder and get a guaranteed shot at the RAW Women’s Championship?
Creativity Will Be Important This Year
While being creative always helps in a ladder match, this year is a whole other beast. You first must climb the WWE Headquarters, then climb the ladder which is placed on the roof. This will mean a wild brawl through an office building will precede what fans have come to expect. In this way, you need to be able to use your surrounding to maximum effect, which is something that should work to the advantage of Asuka. She practically oozes creativity, which is shown in her ring gear and Youtube channel. Combine this with her lethal strikes, and she could cut down everyone else before the roof is even in sight.
Asuka Needs To Beat Becky Lynch Again To Reset Her Career
Asuka & Becky Lynch have faced off in three major singles matches, with Asuka at one win and Lynch at two wins. Winning the briefcase would allow Asuka to even this record, as she would be able to pick her time on Lynch. We could see Asuka announce her cash in ahead of time, or sneak up from behind on Lynch when she is most vulnerable, and either could lead to Asuka getting the win.
Her last two losses against Lynch at Royal Rumble & on the February 10th edition of RAW really did a number on the confidence of Asuka along with hurting her place on the roster. Add in being destroyed at Elimination Chamber and losing the Tag Team Championships at Wrestlemania, and this is a must win situation for Asuka. She is hungry for a win over Lynch, which could be all it takes to drive her to victory.
Will Asuka be able to win Money In The Bank and regain her mojo in the process? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
