Despite a huge win at Wrestlemania over Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens hasn’t been seen on TV since that match. This is because, during their match he would suffer an ankle injury. He doesn’t know the severity of the injury yet, as he will be getting the x-rays done over the next few days.
When Was Kevin Owens Injured?
During the Wrestlemania match, Kevin Owens would throw himself off the Wrestlemania sign through Seth Rollins & the announce table before finishing the match with a huge stunner in the ring. Owens said he believes it is a sprain or a slight fracture and it happened during that dive off the sign. Hopefully it is nothing too severe, and we can have Kevin Owens back on TV soon.
Would Owens Have Been Involved In Money In The Bank?
While it is unlikely he would have been next in line to face the new WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, we could have seen Kevin Owens enter the annual Money In the Bank ladder match. One of the few accolades Owens has not achieved in WWE is winning Money in the Bank, which would also get him a near guaranteed WWE Championship added to his resume. The other accolades Kevin Owens has to achieve include winning Tag Team Titles, King of The Ring, and the Royal Rumble.
Could He Have Beaten Andrade For The United States Championship?
Another possible route that could have been taken after Wrestlemania would have involved some first time matches. Kevin Owens has proudly held the United States Championship in the past, and he could have taken out Andrade to get another reign with the title. These two talented wrestlers have never crossed paths within WWE, and it could have resulted in some fantastic matches. With the momentum of having beaten Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania behind him, he could have finally ended the underwhelming reign of Andrade.
We here at The Overtimer wish Kevin Owens a speedy recovery. He was becoming one of the best parts of WWE on the build to Wrestlemania, and his presence has been missed the last few weeks. Do you think Kevin Owens could have won Money In The Bank this year? Would he have beaten Andrade for the United States Championship? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
