Aliyah has been in NXT for a very long time, and has never made a splash. Many people have come and gone during her tenure on the Black & Gold brand, with the latest being the fiery Kayden Carter. They would clash in one on one action this week on NXT, would Aliyah finally get some momentum, or will she be passed by once again?
Aliyah Has The Attention Of The Robert Stone Brand
Things would start quick, with Aliyah picking the leg of Carter but was unable to use the control take control. Carter would look to lock in an Indian Deathlock type maneuver but Aliyah would fight out. An attempted roll up would lead to a quick springboard dropkick to the face, giving Carter a near fall. Carter would try to follow up in the corner, but would miss and find herself trapped. Aliyah launched some heavy kicks in the corner while assaulting the ears with a feral screech. She would be relentless, more aggressive that we’ve ever seen her. Carter would be kicked out of the corner, and while Aliyah was choking her on the ropes, Robert Stone would make his way down to the ring. Aliyah had helped Chelsea Green last week, which got her on the radar of the new manager in NXT.
The Pressure Would Be Too Much, Kayden Carter Takes Control
Robert Stone being at ringside would almost cost Aliyah the match, with Carter attempting a quick Small Package, with Aliyah kicking out quick at a one count. Needing to regain control of the match, Aliyah hit a quick dropkick followed by going to the top rope for a moonsault. Carter would prevent this and retake control of the match with a kick to the face, before locking the Indian Death Lock in for the submission victory.
The story here was simple, trying to impress Stone took precedent over winning the match. Winning the match might have been enough to get her a spot in the Robert Stone Brand. She would run up to him on the ramp, but he would gently push her away. Will Aliyah get the chance to join Robert Stone & Chelsea Green in NXT, or will she keep floundering in WWE?
