Bray Wyatt has been one of the best character workers around ever since he joined WWE. Since his days as a backwater swamp Cult Leader to his work as The Fiend, he has proven that he can make even the weirdest ideas work. This is best shown in one of his characters from The Firefly Funhouse, that being ‘The Muscle Man’. We got a glimpse of him on a special episode of The Bump when he showed the unique at-home training regimen he took on as he prepared to challenge Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship.
This regimen would include chasing a pig, fighting a cardboard cutout of a Sasquatch, and squatting with his crotch. Muscle Man has yet to enter the ring, but he very well could do so in the future. While The Fiend has drawn comparisons to characters like Mankind with Mick Foley, could Muscle Man be his Dude Love?
A Way For Bray Wyatt To Spend Time Away From The Fiend
While the Fiend is a hot character in WWE, the utter dominance of the character should be saved for times when it matters. We have seen Bray Wyatt show up as himself for matches with The Miz, and is announced to be facing Braun Strowman instead of The Fiend, but to interject more character, he could also use the fitness obsessed All American Muscle Man in these times. It is the perfect character for some lower stakes shorter feuds, while The Fiend handles those high stakes encounters. It would be something like a twisted, weird Hulk Hogan type character. That would be perfect to be involved in comedy based feuds, ones that the genius of Bray Wyatt would be perfect for.
This would extend the shelf life of The Fiend, as WWE fans are quick to get bored of even the best executed idea. Wyatt clearly has ideas for these other characters, and after the incredible Firefly Funhouse Match at Wrestlemania, WWE would be fools to not trust his creative visions.
Could you see WWE start to use The Muscle Man as a character for Bray Wyatt more often in the future? Should he simply focus on The Fiend as much as possible, and save other characters for appearances on the Firefly Funhouse? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
