CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers here with some fun throwback spoilers to close out the week, and this is going to be a fun one. There are so many moments where we see what our favorite characters are doing and practically scream, “NO! You &%^#*#@ idiot!” or something along those lines. We may even yell at the one doing the digging because, well, someone’s going to dig. Even if it’s by accident, something bad is always going to be found. It’s just a rule of thumb for daytime television.
This episode comes to us from January 2, 2018 and features Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in one of Jacqueline’s amazing performances. This one resulted in her winning her first Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress for her performance.
To be fair, her performance was the only redeeming quality about Steffy in this episode as Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) learned she cheated on him by having a one night stand with his father, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).
Oh yeah, Steffy stepped in it big time with this one.
It took one test
Remember in school when a teacher would give a pop quiz to help us with our grades but we’d somehow miss enough answers that we’d be worse off because of the help? This is situation is kinda like that in that Steffy had a paternity test done on her and Liam’s baby, and it proved that the baby was there’s. That should’ve been the end of it, but she held onto the test and Liam discovered it while getting her phone for her.
And here’s where the positive is wiped out by the negative.
Of course, it wouldn’t have been a problem had she destroyed the evidence through fire, shredding, or even eating the thing. But instead, it seemed like a good idea to keep it in her purse. She defied the thousands of times we’ve heard someone say “destroy the evidence” in various crime stories, show, and movies. Those three simple words could’ve saved her so much trouble, but then we wouldn’t have had such an awesome set of scenes.
So, when Liam found it, he was smart enough to know paternity tests weren’t standard test handed out by doctors and refused to let her off the hook no matter how much or hard Steffy pleaded and begged for him to let it go. She promised to be the best wife and mother ever, but she couldn’t deter him.
By this time, Liam had figured out she’d lied to him when she left that night. She hadn’t driven around or anything; everything she’d told him was a lie. More determined than ever, he pursued her back and forth from the patio to the house, she finally broke down and admitted she had spent the night with someone.
She refused to give up a name for a bit more, but eventually she told Liam she slept his father, Bill.
That father and son meeting will have fireworks that CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers hates to miss.
Still, it ends the week on a great note. With some great gems to pick from, it seems unfair, but we’re going to ask anyway. Which of this week’s Emmy winning performances were your favorite?
