CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are here, and we’re all set for a new theme week to get started. Judging by fans online, these have been a big hit as they’ve brought back some fond memories and characters many haven’t seen in years, and others haven’t seen at all. It’s been a cool experience seeing what the producers have had in store for us each week, but CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers thinks we’re being set up.
With previous weeks focused on the Winters and Abbotts, we can’t help but wonder if there are big plans for both families once production resumes. As awesome as the current storylines are, bringing back and expanding on stories with these two will only make it all the more fun.
Getting back to the main topic, this week’s theme is “Romance Week” and we’re going to be treated with some of the best romantic moments in the show’s history.
To start things off, we go back to July 18, 1986. This looks like it’s going to be a fun ride, so grab some tissues and champagne, and we’re off.
Romance is in the air
Something was in Genoa City’s air or water here, and it brought the romance out of the city’s top citizens.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) relationship with Ashely Abbott (Eileen Davidson) has been well chronicled, but there’s nothing like seeing the early days when they were trying to figure out each other and how to make things work. Of course, the fact that things rarely worked means they might’ve missed that detail, but they were in love, so we can live with it.
With Victor preoccupied, it leaves Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) alone to prowl to be prowled, which she enjoys to the best of her ability. In this case, it’s Victor’s brother, Matt Miller (Robert Parucha), that’s doing the wooing. There’s something fun about soap operas flirting with the incestuous line by keeping things close and in the family. These moments often leave CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers wondering if it’s the person or the family that attracts the characters.
Closing out the trifecta is what could be the sweetest one of them all. John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) and Joanna Manning (Susan Seaforth Hayes) are high school friends, with Joanna looking to make things more heated and permanent between the pair. This fits right in there with high school sweethearts storylines, and would be fun to watch as it blooms or dies.
With this week off to a great start, what romances would you like to see this week? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to check with CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
