AEW Accidentally Reveals Original Plan For Fyter Fest Match

This coming Wednesday at Night Two of Fyter Fest, we will see The Young Bucks join forces with longtime Twitter rivals FTR to face Butcher & The Blade as well as The Lucha Brothers. It’s sure to be a chaotic 8 man tag team match, and one that could easily be the highlight of the entire night. However, it was not always meant to be this way.

In what was surely a mistake, a scheduled tweet forgotten to be deleted, we would see what the initial plan for this match was.

FTR & The Young Bucks Would Have Faced Butcher, The Blade, Jimmy Havoc & Kip Sabian

The now deleted Tweet from the @AEWOnTNT account read “This is going to be the best type of CHAOS! Don’t miss the 6 man tag team match this Wednesday at #FyterFest” above an image showing FTR & The Young Bucks on one side, then Butcher, The Blade, Jimmy Havoc & Kip Sabain.

Obviously this is not the plan at this time, as Jimmy Havoc has been suspended from AEW and has checked himself in therapy, which his rape accusations are invesigated by AEW and the relevant authorities.

Sabian & Havoc were receiving a heavy push in the tag team division, even getting a shot at the AEW Tag Team Championships. Their involvement in this match makes perfect sense, and would work well to continue this ongoing storyline. The other change here is that it was a 6 man tag, seeing FTR and Nick Jackson against Butcher & The Blade alongside Jimmy Havoc, with Matt Jackson & Kip Sabian at ringside.

The Lucha Bros Should Ensure A Better Overall Match

While the tandem of Havoc & Sabian were fantastic, they’re not one of the best teams in the world like Rey Fenix & Pentagon Jr. It also helps that Lucha Bros have been a target of FTR from the start, due to their lack of respect for the traditional tag team style. Furthermore, it ensures this match is even in terms of style, with two heavy hitting teams and two high flying teams in the mix.

It’s always interesting to know what original plans were for matches, and this mistake gave us a look behind the curtain of AEW. Do you think the new match is more exciting than the original? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
