CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here with a fun throwback spoiler that’s a Fisher-Baldwin family classic that shows the devotion of a mother to her children, as well as her children’s independent streaks running a mile wide.
A mother’s protectiveness is something we see more times than not on daytime television, and it can be pretty cool at times. It also leads to some amazing storylines and the actors do a tremendous job at bringing them to life and pulling un into their world.
More than anything, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers enjoys seeing the life lessons we don’t really expect in a television show despite decades of them being there. We often miss then the first go around because we’re so invested in the story, or we’re just enjoying it and it doesn’t hit us until later.

Life Lessons
One of those lessons is the old saying that it’s important to hold onto someone we love, but if we hold too tightly, we may strange the life out of it. It’s a line that’s difficult to walk whether it’s someone we’re with romantically or our children, parents, or siblings.
We want to ensure everyone’s safe and has the life we envision for them, and it’s hard to step back and watch them stumble and make mistakes.
To CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers, this episode epitomizes that mindset as Gloria Abbott (Judith Chapman) unexpectedly drops by Michal Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmroe (Tracey Bregman)’s home. Her visit brought some angst, but even more when Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and his wife, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) stop by in this gem from December 21, 2016.
Mothering
After Gloria popped out of a box to surprise Michael and Lauren, she quickly triggers their anxiety as neither are really happy to see her despite her explaining that her sons are everything to her and she wouldn’t miss a Christmas with them for anything.
Lauren comments about Michael somehow getting on Santa’s naughty list, but Michael has hopes everything will work out and they’ll have a good Christmas. Then his brother and his family show up, and things take a slight nosedive.
Being the protective mother she is, Gloria wastes no time in going right after Chloe as she’s convinced the woman is out to destroy Kevin in some nefarious scheme. It doesn’t matter to her what’s said or done, she intends to expose Chloe for what she is.
