There’s something special about seeing our favorite music artists, movie stars, and athletes appearing on our favorite shows. It’s like they’re tailor made for us.
That’s true, because obviously they’re looking for a ratings boost, but it’s still fun for us, and it’s something CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers never gets tired of seeing.
We’ve long accepted that their performances may not be the best, but in this case, it’s awesome when they appear as themselves as it requires little to no acting.

Coming to us from June 12, 2008, we get to dive into the dysfunctional inner workings of Restless Style, a fashion magazine Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) created and attempt to co-manage.
Dysfunction at its best
Jack and Nick never stopped arguing over who was in charge from the second their magazine was launched, and things didn’t change even with a big name music artist arriving for a photo shoot.
The two alphas continued arguing over who was the boss, whose ideas work best, and who came up with the idea for Katy Perry to be there.
Sounds like a typical Abbott and Newman family feud, doesn’t it?
She was forced to wait while they sorted things out as she didn’t even know what she was going to wear. Or, rather, the alphas couldn’t agree on what she would wear.
Jack didn’t like the rocker style that had been picked for her, which forced Sharon to step in and save the day by trimming one of their gowns for Katy to wear.
It was a success as Katy approved of her choice, calling it a cool idea.
But nothing ever ends that easily in these situations, and the next bit is one CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers expect to be a fun comic relief segment.
Fisher quest
Just when it looked like the dust was finally settled, Jane Hawkes (Emily O’Brien) and her husband, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), popped in for a visit.
To say they weren’t expected is an understatement, as their sole reason for being there was to get Katy Perry’s autograph. Kevin felt pretty bold and followed that request up by suggesting they should hang out sometime.
We all have those friends we can’t take to public places, right?
As if things couldn’t get any worse, after Katy left, an advertiser called Jack and said they weren’t interesting in a young and hipper magazine.
Looks like this would be a good time for Jack to check his blood pressure.
