NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin will happen eventually. It has been cancelled once, and that will likely repeat itself. The planned main event was Finn Balor vs. WALTER for the NXT UK Championship, but that feud has fizzled out.
Now Finn Balor wants someone even bigger for this show, which is now scheduled for October 25th. Finn Balor now wants to face Edge at the event.
Edge Mentioned NXT When Offered A Spot In The Robert Stone Brand
No one stirs the pot in NXT like Robert Stone, and he tried to suck Edge into his operations. Edge replied and was willing to sign up, if certain demands were met. He wants Fuschia M&M’s, crushed velvet furniture on his bus, and a match with Finn Balor at TakeOver.
Since coming back to WWE, Edge wants to face every big star he possibly can. So far, he’s just been feuding with Randy Orton, but has dreams of facing everyone from Daniel Bryan to Keith Lee. Of course Finn Balor would be on this list.
Finn Balor Accepts The Challenge
Due to Edge currently being sidelined with a torn triceps, Robert Stone might have a very hard time getting this match booked. However, Finn Balor would gladly face someone as legendary as Edge in a match. But he wants to do it in Ireland.
While speaking with Irish Mirror, Balor would state the following.
“I would like to address that situation right now, Edge was saying he wanted to face Finn Balor at Takeover so if we could do it at Takeover Dublin all the better, an absolute legend in the ring, but what an absolute gent and a true pro outside the ring. I’ve always said it to both him and Christian that when they retired, I met them at a couple of media appearances and I said: ‘lads, you two are like how I’d look to transition out of wrestling – to carry yourself with such professionalism – and to see him back is fantastic. Getting the chance to wrestle with him would be even better.”
