Aliyah & Chelsea Green are the only people who were brave enough to follow the lead of Robert Stone in NXT thus far. Green would abandon him after getting a big tag team win, and then Aliyah would drag Stone out of the dumps. Since then, he’d try and fail to recruit both Rhea Ripley & Shotzi Blackheart. But now, he might have his biggest client yet on the verge of joining him. This is the former WWE Womens Champion, Melina.
Melina Was Most Recently In The National Wrestling Alliance
It has been several years since Melina has worked in WWE, having stayed active in the ring in the meantime. Her most recent run came as one of the top female stars of the revived National Wrestling Alliance, feuding with NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa. She showed that she has always had the skills to keep up in the ring, and can go with the next generation of female talent as well. Add in name value and a touch of nostalgia, and a WWE return would benefit both parties.
Robert Stone Named Her As His Dream Client
After asking on Twitter for fans to name dream clients for Robert Stone brand, Twitter user @TDeoson would mention Melina. Stone would proceed to mention her, and she would say the following in response. “MELINA A name that needs no introduction or help build my friend. But… Being an entity like no other, I can take any venture & make magic with it. So if you want to turn Ordinary to EXTRAORDINARY, Call Me. I accept no less than success.” Stone would ask Aliyah if she wants his, which she responed “Yes PLEASE”
Melina would easily elevate this budding faction and make them a legitimate threat with her experience alone. However, there is danger in this move. If brought on board, it could very easily become the Melina brand, with her taking control from Robert Stone and taking Aliyah under her wing instead.
