Last week, Ethan Page ranted and raved about everyone watching Ken Shamrock’s old matches instead of the North’s title defense the week before. Shamrock happened by and heard Page’s insults and got in his face over it, to which Josh Alexander challenged Shamrock to a match.
The North then jumped Shamrock as he made his way to the ring, rendering him unconscious.
This week, the North decided it was a good idea to brag about their attack, saying Shamrock had no friends because of his anger issues. They claimed the most dangerous man wasn’t Shamrock, but a man with a friend like the North.
That was all it took Shamrock heard enough and came out to the ring, but he was interrupted.

Best of frenemies
Before things could get interesting, Sami Callihan appeared on the screen and said, “Who needs a friend, when they have an enemy.” The lights went out and Callihan appeared in the ring alongside Shamrock.
It didn’t take them long to chase the North out of the ring and back to the locker room. Then facing each other, Callihan held a raised thumb in Shamrock’s face. “Thumb’s up. Thumb’s down.” And disappeared after the thumb’s down gesture, leaving Shamrock alone in the ring.
This could be one of the most interesting pairings in a long time as they obviously don’t like each other, but there is a mutual respect. Will that be enough against the North? We’ll see, because the North helped give them a chance to prove it.
Backstage, the North approach Scott D’amore, interrupting his phone conversation. Page ranted and raved about being attacked by Shamrock and Callihan, stating he wasn’t in proper attire for a fight and if they had a chance to prepare there wouldn’t be a problem.
D’amore sarcastically agreed with Page’s ranting and said there was no place for attacks like that on his watch, and he’d make sure his fellow countrymen (he and the North are Canadians, in case someone didn’t know) had their chance to see justice was done. So, he announced they’d defend the Impact Tag Team Championships against Shamrock and Callihan at Slammiversary.
Judging by Page’s expression, this wasn’t what he wanted.
This has the makings of an awesome match, and we’re excited to see the build up continue next week. This is going to be a fun one, if only to see how long Shamrock and Callihan can function as a team.
