Last week on Main Event, we saw this exact match. Riddick Moss was making his return to the ring, and the ex-Football player got off on the right foot at the expense of one of the best high flyers in WWE today.
Could Humberto Carrillo ensure things go differently this time, or will the result stay the same as last week’s match?
Humberto Carrillo Didn’t Rework His Gameplan
Last week we saw that the power of Moss is enough to stop the Speed & Skill of Carrillo. The early moments in this match would tell the same story, as Carrillo was unable to win the opening lock up. Moss would control the arm, but the lucha style of Carrillo would allow him to move this around into a side headlock.
Being the smaller man, this was a mistake as Moss very easily broke out of this. Carrillo would get an armbar, but it again wouldn’t last long. Moss would be thrown off the ropes, but he’d just run through Carrillo.
They’d run the ropes again, and he’d eat a dropkick this time. A springboard crossbody would see the first pin attempt of the match, only getting a one count. He’d hit a superkick soon after and send Moss outside, but the baseball slide would miss and Carrillo would be smashed into the plexiglass.
Back in the ring, Carrillo would be beat up in the corner before Moss would slap him in the face. This would wake Carrillo up briefly, but a fallaway slam would send him across the ring.
Riddick Moss Ends This One
Signalling for the end, Moss would start to work over the neck with a rear chinlock, bending the neck back. Carrillo would rally back to escape this, and a kick to the head would drop Moss. A rolling moonsault would get a near fall, Moss in some trouble now.
Carrillo took to the top rope for a crossbody, but Moss rolled through into the pinfall attempt. Back to his feet, he’d charge into the corner and nearly break Carrillo in half. One big neckbreaker later, this one was done.
This makes two losses in a row for Carrillo to Moss, who is looking better and better with every match. It’s clear WWE sees high potential in the freak athlete. Will it translate to a role on Monday Night RAW before long? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
