WWE NXT Great American Bash Results: Legado Del Fantasma vs. Drake Maverick & Breezango

While NXT North American Champion Keith Lee would be ready for a 3 on 1 fight, Drake Maverick is not. This didn’t stop him from charging recklessly against Legado Del Fantasma, as he wanted to get revenge on Santos Escobar. Last week, Legado Del Fantasma made their way to the ring, and Maverick was close behind. This time, backup made its way to his side in Tyler Breeze & Fandango, setting up this six man tag team match.

Breeze and Fandango had their usual huge entrance, coming out in lucha libre masks, but Maverick didn’t bring one. Things got serious when he came around, and that followed into the match.

Chaotic Action From The Opening Bell

Drake Maverick wanted to start the match, but Fandango would start alongside Joaquin Wilde. The tag team chemistry between Breeze & ‘Dango would give an early advantage, but Mendoza would get control of Tyler Breeze briefly before being dropped with a spinning neckbreaker. Maverick finally made it back in, but he’d be focused on Santos Escobar. He’d take down Mendoza with a kick, then stare down Escobar. Breeze would be tagged back in, but Mendoza got control and a trio move would lead to a near fall.

Legado Del Fantasma would control the match with quick tags, before Fandango came in and used his size & power to clean house. He’d even pick up Maverick and throw him into the trio on the outside, before springboarding off the ropes to take them down fully, hurting his knee in the process. Mendoza would shove him into the steps, shutting him down fully. His size wouldn’t mean much if he can’t stand, and now he’s the target of Wilde.

Fandango Would Be Picked Apart By Legado Del Fantasma

Santos Escobar would finally enter this match, and Maverick would be desperate for a tag as Fandango would be taken down with a chop block before Escobar applied an abdominal stretch, with the leg trapped as well. Fandango would slip out, but the hurt knee is too much and he’d be forced into enemy territory to be picked apart with rapid tags. He’d get so close to getting a tag, only to be shut down. They’ve stuck on the injured left leg, and it was working. Legado Del Fantasma were playing this one well.

Fandango would send Mendoza over the top, and this would be his opening. He’d make the tag to Drake Maverick as Santos Escobar came in. Maverick would throw hands, and would be rabid in his assault before hitting a wheelbarrow bulldog, with this breaking down into the brawl. Going to the top would be a mistake, and Escobar would kick the leg out, get him in position and hit a Phantom Driver to the injured back. Legado Del Fantasma win their debut as a trio.

This is going to be a hard trio to beat, as they truly work as a unit. They picked an opponent and limb, and made this 3 on 2, then used the emotions of Maverick to end the match. It was a perfect plan, excecuted perfectly. Who can beat them? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
