Bayley and Sasha Banks took to WWE Raw’s ring prior to their match to celebrate Banks’s non-title win.
Banks went on to defend her winning the belt because it wasn’t handed to her like Becky Lynch handed it to Asuka.
She then talked about the “poor referee” and how Bayley stole his shirt because somebody had to officiate her match.
Their celebration was interrupted by Asuka and Kairi Sane.
Banks refused to give back the Raw Women’s Championship and challenged Asuka to take it back. Asuka and Sane headed to the ring, but Stephanie McMahon appeared on the titantron.
She congratulated Bayley, but told Banks she didn’t win at Extreme Rules. She also pointed out Asuka didn’t either, so there’s a championship match next week and regular match stipulations, such as Bayley getting involved, and Banks will lose.
We go to commercial as the Kabuki Warriors cleared the ring.
Kairi Sane vs. Bayley
WWE Raw came back from commercial to the match starting with Sane flipping Bayley over.
Same continued hitting Bayley with knife edge chops, then rolled Bayley up for a pin attempt when she ducked the last one.
Bayley gained control after countering Sane in the corner by lifting her and dropping her on the turnbuckle.
Sane fought back, but Bayley kept after her, trying to wear her down with a reverse chin lock.
Sane broke free and hit with a crossbody block, but Bayley kicked out.
Sane continued to absorb punishment, and nearly pinned Bayley on a couple of counters.
Sane then blocked a suplex attempt to the outside of the ring, and hung Bayley on the ropes so she could hit with a double stomp off the ropes.
And commercial here we go.
Sane holding on
WWE Raw returned from commercial as Sane had Bayley in the corner and hit with a pair of shoulder blocks before Bayley countered with a boot.
Sane then kicked out of Bayley’s pin attempt, and Bayley worked on her right arm with a wrist lock.
Backstage, Shayna Baszler watched the match, and asked Charly if she should sit in catering when she was asked if she had a vested interest in the match. Similar to a sharks when it sees prey in the water.
Back to the match, Sane countered a suplex into a DDT, and once both were on their feet, Sane his with a blockbuster and a dropkick.
Sane then hit with a sliding punch and climbed to the top rope, but Bayley hit her, then dropped her on the ropes, injuring Sane’s right arm.
With Bayley tied up in the ropes, Sane hit with a double stomp, but Bayley kicked out.
Sane hit with a spinning backfist then her interceptor (spear). Sane then hit her Insane Elbow, but Bayley got her foot on the bottom rope.
Sane ran off the ropes into a high knee, and Bayley then hit her with a back suplex before hitting with her own flying elbow drop, but Kairi Sane kicked out.
Sane countered a Bayley-to-Belly suplex into a roll up for the win.
Rumors have it this was Kairi Sane’s last match before heading to Japan, and it was a great one. Best of luck to her and her husband.
Backstage, Drew McIntyre was stopped and asked what kind of condition he’s in after his brutal match against Dolph Ziggler.
He admitted he felt like he fell down several flights of stairs, and was heading to the ring to discuss the future of Drew McIntyre.
McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler next week
McIntyre gave Ziggler credit for having a brilliant stipulation on their match and hit him with everything he had.
He admitted Ziggler almost had him, but almost is the story of Ziggler’s career.
When he mentioned he needed a worthy opponent, Ziggler’s music played and McIntyre said, “That’s not you.”
Ziggler claimed he saw fear in McIntyre’s eyes and he was thisclose to getting what he deserved.
McIntyre refused to give him another match after beating him 24 hours earlier, but Ziggler kept his whining and McIntyre said he was starting to feel bad for him.
As McIntyre was leaving, Ziggler grabbed him and McIntyre hit him with a Glascow Kiss and told him the answer is no.
Ziggler demanded McIntyre not walk away from him, and Ziggler was so desperate he told McIntyre he could name the stipulation.
One of the enhancement talent yelled out, “Eye for an Eye.”
McIntyre said he changed his mind, and he accepted. But he started to walk away, and Ziggler asked what the stipulation is on next week’s WWE Raw.
McIntyre said he’d tell him the stipulation right before the bell rings.
