Backstage, Bobby Lashley bragged at destroying Apollo Crews mentally, emotionally, and physically and it was only a matter of time until he won the United States Championship.
MVP and Bobby Lashley came out to the ring to unveil the new United States Championship.
It’s announced that because of his win last week, MVP will face Apollo Crews at Extreme Rules for the United States Championship.
MVP started out talking good about Crews, but added he burned out because he crossed MVP and Lashley.
MVP doesn’t feel bad because he tried to help Crews, and Crews disrespected him by not accepting his offer to tutor him, and that meant he also disrespected Lashley.
MVP removed the cover to reveal the new title design, but shouldn’t Crews he there instead of MVP and Lashley?
Lashley crowned MVP the US Champion and put the belt on MVP.
Ricochet’s music started, and he came out with Cedric Alexander.
Alexander called out MVP for not earning the championship, and Ricochet pointed out Crews would be back soon and end MVP’s fantasy of being champion. They then challenged the “Hurt Business” to force them into Chapter 11.

Lashley took it to Cedric Alexander, but Alexander bought some space with a couple of kicks and tagged Ricochet in.
Once Lashley knocked Ricochet out of the ring, Lashley tagged in MVP, who then bounced Ricochet off the ring steps and barricade before sending him back in the ring and tagged Lashley back in.
Ricochet survived several pin attempts as MVP and Lashley continued to tag in and out, effectively cutting the ring in half.
After absorbing some more punishment from Lashley, MVP tagged in for an easy pin but kicked out, then managed to tag in Alexander after kicking MVP behind the head.
Alexander nearly had a pinfall of MVP after a DDT, but Lashley tagged in and MVP knocked Ricochet off the apron.
Lashley hit Alexander with a spear for the win.
