WWE Raw Results and Recap are all set for a fun night, and it looks like we won’t be disappointed.
We started with Randy Orton coming out. We’ve been expecting him to name his next victim, and it looks like the wait may be over.
A recap of last week’s match between Orton and Big Show was shown, bringing us up to date with his latest Legend taken out.
Orton started out talking about the various names he’s been called, as well as his former championship reigns. The Authority and Evolution.
He named the Rock and Steve Austin and how they can’t hold a candle to what he’s accomplished.
Orton threw a but in there because something’s missing and he hasn’t been able to figure out what it is. He knows what he wants, and it’s to become WWE Champion. Again.
Orton then brought up McIntyre’s past, being sure to point out that McIntyre has fought his way back and he has Orton’s respect.
Orton said he has a habit of taking what he wants at the biggest venues and demanded a WWE Championship match at SummerSlam.
He added that McIntyre won’t see the RKO that’ll end his title reign coming.
This isn’t that surprising as we’ve been expecting this for the last couple of weeks. It’s going to be an awesome match, and one that we definitely don’t want to miss.
The next three weeks of build up should be pretty awesome as two of the best currently in the business square off on the mic and occasionally head to head before the big event.
This is the match the WWE needed at SummerSlam, so with any luck they’ll let Orton and MciNtyre to their thing.
Speaking of building up a rivalry…
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler
Nia Jax then came out, and the announcers made a point of saying we haven’t seen her since she broke Charlotte Flair’s collarbone.
She said she knows how Randy Orton feels, because she woke up wanting a Raw Women’s Championship.
Jax reiterated that she was screwed by a referee and then Flair stepped in her way.
Shayna Baszler’s music played, cutting Jax off and the Queen of Spades came out.
“Nia, nobody gives a damn what you want.”
Jax then nailed Baszler and threw her across the ring.
Referees came out to separate them, and we were sure this was going to be our first match given how the WWE has worked these before.
Oh well, some change can be good.
