Impact Wrestling Results and Recap waited to see who accepted Eddie Edwards’ open challenge when
Sami Callihan appeared on the ramp, but Rob Van Dam was next to him with a chair, and beat him down before he could move with Katie Forbes cheering him on, the threatening security.
Callihan shoved away security and headed to the ring with a bad limp.
Edwards approached him and Callihan slapped him.

Edwards then hit with a Tiger Driver right away, but Callihan kicked out.
Edwards continued to beat on Callihan in a largely one-sided match early one.
Edwards hit with a splash in the corner from another, but Callihan sidestepped his next charge and sent Edwards through the ropes outside.
Callihan ran across the ring and dove through the ropes, taking out Edwards before throwing him back into the ring.
Edwards returned Callihan’s previous favor with his own suicide dive.
Edwards continued working over Callihan outside the ring, and tried a Tiger Driver on the ring apron, but Callihan went after his eyes, then hit with a pile driver on the apron.
Josh Mathews was Mr. Obvious by stating this is why you don’t offer an open challenge.
Callihan followed him out of the ring and rang Edwards into the barricade when the count out his six, but the referee came out to check on Edwards, which restarted the count.
Callihan then threw Edwards back into the ring, then hit with an elbor drop for a near pinfall.
Callihan locked Edwards in a side headlock, and Edwards managed to break the hold, and they exchanged big boots before hitting each other with a clothesline.
With both men down, the referee started a ten count, but both men grabbed onto each other and climbed to their feet.
The two then exchanged blows in the middle of the ring. Edwards ducked a clothesline and hit with a Blue Thunder for another near pinfall.
Grab a chair
Edwards pulled Callihan up for another Tiger Driver attempt, but Callihan it with a backdrop, then exchanged rollups before Callihan hit with a brainbuster for a near pinfall.
Callihan measured Edward for a right, then absorbed a kick and other blows before he his with a Go to Sleep, then running drop kick for another near pin.
Edwards caught him with a dropkick and another Tiger Driver, but Callihan kicked out at two once again.
Callihan pushed him back, then hit with a piledriver, but Edwards put a foot on the rope to break the pin.
Callihan slipped out of the ring and pulled a steel chair out from under the ring.
Callihan hesitated and then threw the chair out of the ring, and Edward hit with two Boston Knee Parties for the pinfall.
