WWE Smackdown Results (8/28) – Big E and Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis) Defeated The Miz, John Morrison, and Sheamus; Paul Heyman Revealed as Roman Reigns’ Manager

WWE Smackdown Results then switched to Miz and Morrison talking about how Morrison can kick at 70 mph when Sheamus interrupted and wanted to know their scouting report on their opponents.

Morrison said they have to keep Big E, Tucker, and Otis out of the ring. The first two for being too strong, and Otis because he’s like a bulldozer.

Sheamus was amazed at the stupidity and told them to follow his lead.

Miz and Morrison then argued over whose fault it was after Sheamus walked off.

Back from commercial, Pierce knocked on, then entered Reigns’ room to get his signature.

Reigns said he wanted to read it first.

Big E and Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis) vs. The Miz, John Morrison, and Sheamus

Morrison started off against Otis, and Otis was still eating as it started.

Morrison managed to dodge Otis a coupe of times, and then bounced off Otis on a crossbody.

Tucker and Otis threw Big E into Morrison in their corner, and Tucker then hit with a cross body off the ropes for a near pinfall.

Morrison hit with a couple of kicks and tagged in Miz. Miz continued kicking Tucker, then tagged Morrison back in when Tucker started to try to fight out of trouble.

Tucker hit Morrison with a kick, then knocked Mix and Sheamus off the apron.

Morrison hit Tucker with a dropkick that knocked him outside the ring.

Tucker then hit Sheamus with a dropkick and a clothesline on Miz.

In the ring, Tucker hit Morrison with a clothesline and went for the cover, but Sheamus interrupted the match by ringing the bell.

    Sheamus leaves

Back from commercial to find Miz and Morrison double teaming Tucker, and Miz nearly scoring a pinfall.

Miz locked in a reverse chin lock, but Tucker managed to get to his feet and hit with a belly to back suplex to break the hold.

Morrison tagged in and cut Tucker off from tagging out, and continued working on Tucker while Sheamus called to be tagged in.

Morrison tagged Miz in instead, and we know this won’t go over well.

Morrison tagged in and hit with a springboard kick for a pin attempt that Big E and Otis broke up.

Sheamus blind tagged Morrison out, but the referee didn’t see it.

Sheamus was thrown off the ring while yelling at he announcers when Tucker and Morrison bumped into him and he tore the announcer’s table apart, then yelled at Miz before he walked out.

Big E came in and planted the Miz with a series of belly-to-belly suplexes.

Big E then hit with a big splash, but he was too occupied with clapping and the Miz slipped out of the ring.

When Big E caught him, Miz hung him up on the ropes.

Big E caught Miz’s charge with a one’ armed slam, but Morrison hit him with a kick to break up the pin attempt.

Otis nailed Morrison with a slam, but Miz moved out of the way of his caterpillar. Miz then hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Otis.

Big E grabbed the Miz from behind and hit the Big Ending for the pin.

    It’s a spoiler

As the trio celebrated in the ring, we switched back to the backstage area where Reigns promised he will be at Payback and that he will win back his Universal Championship that he never lost.

    He said that’s not a prediction, it’s a spoiler.

    Paul Heyman’s his manager.

Okay, the ending was a pretty cool twist, but really? Their answer to Reign’s unpopularity is to put him with Heyman?

Should be interesting to se if it works.

Not a bad show overall, though it was rough in a few spots and no Retribution. We thought for sure they were going to come out at the very end, so kudos to shelving them for the time being.

They’ll probably pop up at WWE Payback.

Thank you for joining us, and we look forward to seeing you all next time.
