CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here and we have some fun spoilery goodies to start the week off, and it looks like we’ll get a somewhat relaxing episode to settle into.
Since things in Genoa City tend not to remain calm for long, we’re going to take advantage of this and soak up the surprises that appear to be in store for us.
Nothing beats a good surprise, though CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers aren’t sure if Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will agree after Summer Newman (Hunter King) offers a proposal.
Yep. It appears that Summer is going to present a proposal to Kyle, and we don’t think it is what we want to think it is.
But before we get to that, there’s another angle that could be tied into her surprise as her father, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), is going to tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) the truth about something.
What it is could be earthshattering, or it could be Nick opening up. Both seem just as likely at this point, so now is a good time to hedge any bets.
The proposal
While it’s reasonable to expect Summer to propose marriage after her and Kyle’s recent chat, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers don’t think that’s the case given her reaction when he mentioned it.
Let’s face it, she was scared. She loves him, but she doesn’t know if she’s ready to go down that road again so soon.
And while it’s entirely possible she throws us a curve ball and asks him to marry her, we think it’ll be something a little less complicated.
They were also talking about having children at some point, which is how and why Kyle brought up marriage.
But for argument’s sake, let’s say she decides to go another route that entails a cute puppy.
To be fair, it’d be her way of saying she wants to build something together, but that she also needs/wants more time. It could work out, and it’d give her a chance to think more on it.
Being honest
Now, things may be different when Nick sits down with Jack, but we don’t think so.
In fact, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers expect Nick to discuss Kyle and Summer’s relationship with Jack, and for Nick to be totally honest about what he’s feeling.
He’s happy and wants everyone to be happy, but he has natural reservations when it comes to his daughter, as any parent would.
So, after his heartfelt discussion with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), he’ll sit down and talk with Jack and explain his feelings on the matter.
He may be surprised to find he and Jack share common ground, and that’ll only help the kids as they make another attempt at building a life together.
