McIntyre asked for someone to come out, and when they didn’t he said he’d just talk for the next ten minutes, but Dolph Ziggler’s music started and Robert Roode came out to WWE Raw Results pleasure.
About time Roode is getting a chance. If this is like Bobby Lashley, it’s something McIntyre and others had to push for due to their past together.
Vince McMahon has shown a dislike for pushing wrestlers from other promotions that didn’t start with him.
Roode started it off with a series of kicks on McIntyre’s left leg, including wrapping it in the ropes before McIntyre threw him across the ring.
McIntyre tried to pick Roode up for a slam, but slipped out and raked McIntyre’s back and then focused on McIntyre’s leg.
McIntyre fought back and hit Roode with a series of knife edge chops in the corner, and then McIntyre caught Roode trying to flip over him with a kick.
Roode rolled out of the ring and McIntyre followed him, and hit Roode with an Alabama Slam on the ring apron as we headed to commercial.
McIntyre won’t be stopped
We’re back with both men on the top rope, and Roode fought McIntyre off, hangin McIntyre in the Tree of Woe.
McInytre sat up and grabbed Roode and threw him across the ring.
Ziggler pulled Roode out fo the ring when McIntyre was about to attempt a Claymore, and McIntyre pulled Ziggler into the ring by his hair.
Roode took advantage of McIntyre being distracted to his a chop block, and then hit several punishing moves on McIntyr’es left leg.
Roode then slammed McIntyre’s leg into the ring post and followed it with the other leg.
McIntyre kicked him off, but struggled to stay on his feet out of the ring.
Roode hit with another kick, then dropped McIntyre on his knee on the announce table before rolling McInytre into the ring.
Roode hit with a clothesline off the top rope and went for a pin attempt.
McIntyre kicked out, so Roode locked in a Figure 4 leg lock.
McIntyre rolled over to reverse the pressure, but Roode made it to the ropes to break the hold.
Roode picked him up, and McIntyre hit with a Glasgow Kiss, then a belly to belly suplex before launching Roode with a second belly to belly.
McIntyre flipped up, but he couldn’t stay on his feet.
Roode hit with a spinebuster for a near pinfall.
McIntyre threw Roode into the corner, but Roode hit with an elbow, and ROode countered a Future Shock DDT into a pin attempt.
McIntyre hit n his second Future Shock DDT for a near pinfall.
Ziggler pushed Roode aside and ate a Claymore.
Roode hit a Glorious DDT for a near pinfall, and McIntyre kicking out left him in shock.
McIntyre fought out of a second attempt and hit with a Claymore off the ropes for the pin and win.
This was a good match, as they’re capable of so much more. Hopefully, we’ll get to see them recreate some magic from Impact Wrestling.
Orton’s Revenge
Backstage, a custodian was pushing a cart when he came to a stop and took a steel chair over to the Legend’s Lounge. He removed his mask to reveal Randy Orton and he had night vision goggles.
He entered the room put on the goggles, and turned off the lights.
Sounds of banging and crashing filled the room and it was totally destroyed and the Legends were laid out.
Orton reached his caret as help ran into the lounge.
Oddly enough, the Hurt Business passed him earlier and MVP threw a can on the floor near him, telling him to pick it up.
Whoopsie on their part.
Over all, this was a pretty good show and we didn’t miss Raw Underground. We’re curious what happened to Raw Underground. It’ll be interesting if it returns or not.
