CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here with what looks like a touching and emotional spoiler, so we’d better get some comfort food ready.
While it also looks like we’re going to get another break in the Newman family drama, it won’t come without a price.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has been on a mission to decipher Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams)’s message, and it looks like Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) is going to be his savior.
It’s a fitting touch in what we expect to be among the final episodes where we’ll see Dina, and it’ll be a way to give her a proper sendoff.
While we expect Jack to be emotional there, his sister, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), will approach Victor Newman (Eric Breaden) and confide something important with him.
While it’s ripe for all kinds of storylines, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers don’t think she’ll be trying to take Victor from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) or anything like that.
To us, this feels like two old friends reconnecting.

Confidential suitors
There was a time when a meeting between Ashley and Victor set tongues to wagging and caused Nikki to see red, but those times are over as everyone’s settled comfortably into their lives.
But that doesn’t mean everything’s perfect, and we expect Ashley’s dealing with more than she’s let on recently and we expect her to confess her fears about what his quest has done to Jack.
But more than that, she’ll understand that it means the time is short for their mother and she’d appreciate some friendly company.
In fact, we think she’ll go so far as to tell Victor she’s glad that he found happiness, and she’ll offer to be there for him in return for this kindness.
End of a mystery
Lauren said she was having the contents of a safety deposit box her father left her sent to Genoa City in the hopes the gem that Jack’s been looking for is there.
We think she’ll find it and give it to Jack, and it’ll make his day.
More than this, with Dina’s end drawing near and the actress having shot her final scenes, if an online video the show released is to be believed, we think this will be pivotal.
We think Jack and the family will be with her, gem in hand, as she passes and we’ll see a final gleam of happiness and pride in her eyes at her message having been understood.
It’s a great way to close out the character’s run and open a new door for Jack and the other Abbotts as it’ll serve as a reminder about what’s important in life.
