Talk about an intriguing match for Impact Wrestling Victory Road.
While Deonna Purrazzo defending the Knockouts Championship is one thing, doing so against Susie is totally unexpected and it plays into another potential storyline Madison Rayne teased on Impact Wrestling.
One of the fun side notes to this was Kimber Lee’s response at hearing the news, and while Purrazzo seemed shocked, Kimber was furious.
This is just us, but we’re thinking that it could be she feels she’s more deserving of a title shot after all she’s done to help Purrazzo.
In which case, this could hint at a possible break up of the duo in the coming weeks.
But that’s not the prevalent story with this match, and oddly enough, neither is the Knockouts Championship.
Well, we should say the championship isn’t prevalent alone, but it’s tied to another possible side angle.

Su Yung returns?
Madison Rayne teased this on the last Impact Wrestling, and it makes sense since we’ve been seeing more and more of Su Yung come out during Susie’s matches or even when she’s alone.
Some, like Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie, and tried to bring her out for whatever reason.
This would be the opportune time for Susie to morph into Su Yung, especially during the match against Purrazzo.
It’d create several scenarios that would be fun to watch play out, including Kylie Rae trying to redeem her friend while challenging her for the Knockouts Championship.
Unfortunately, it’s because of Su Yung’s possible return we don’t think she’ll win.
While Kylie, Purrazzo, Susie, and Kimber are all highly capable, we’re thinking this match will branch off into two storylines that’ll converge in some way at Bound For Glory.
Multiple Victory Roads
If Purrazzo manages to hold on and win like we expect, her and Kimber may start going back and forth over who’s next.
During this time, Kylie could get caught up in it since she’s the number one contender. That’ll leave no one to pull Susie back from the edge and Su Yung will emerge.
Seeing her friend change will horrify Kylie and she’ll try to convince Susie to come back, which will end badly for her for the moment.
Purrazzo and Kimber will retreat, bickering and building a rivalry between them for Kimber to challenge for the Knockouts Championship in the next week or two.
During that time, Kylie will struggle to defeat Su Yung and bring Susie back.
With all that being said, it would be pretty awesome for Susie to morph in mid match and for Su Yung to defeat Purrazzo and put Kylie in the position of choosing which is more important: her best friend of the championship.
This would lead to a showdown between Su Yung as Knockouts Champion (Which Madison Rayne predicted) against her (former?) best friend, Kylie Rae at Bound For Glory.
To be honest, we’re good with whichever way Impact Wrestling decides to go at Victory Road. Both choices look like winners to us, but there could be more plans in there as well.
