NXT UK would get started this week with some women’s tag team action, as Xia Brookside looks to regroup alongside Dani Luna, after a loss to Jinny last week. They would be opposed by Amale & Nina Samuels, two well balanced teams. Brookside has previously beaten Amale in singles action, giving this match a shred of history to play on.
Xia Brookside & Dani Luna Look Like A Tag Team
Luna would kick things off with Samuel, and quickly get a go-behind and some takedowns. Samuel would be locked in a front headlock, but slipped out and got an armbar. Luna would regain control and tag in Brookside, and got a side headlock before Samuels got the headscissors and forced Brookside to escape. Brookside would grab an arm and tag in Luna, before they launched a double chop.
A stomp to the foot of Luna would allow Samuel to take in Amale, and heavy strikes would be thrown before a snapmare into a PK. Samuels & Amale looked for a double clothesline, but Luna ducked and got one of her own. A fall away slam would send Samuels into her team’s corner, and Brookside got a crossbody off the top rope. She’d run circles around the veteran, until Samuels nailed a big backbreaker.
Samuels would provoke Luna, and allow Amale to attack Brookside behind the referees back. A reverse suplex got a two count, and Samuel would miss a blind tag to Amale, as Samuel would have gotten the win with a rollup on Brookside. Samuels was not impressed by this, having a win and the spotlight stolen from her.
Don’t Trust Nina Samuels
Amale would go to work on Brookside, but fail to keep her from making the tag to Luna. Luna was fresh and would run through Amale with a lariat and a deadlift suplex, as Samuels just looked on.
She’d extend the hand for a tag, before leaving the arena. Amale is in a handicap match now. Amale would keep on fighting, but a German Suplex followed by being taken off the top rope by Brookside, and this one was done.
Amale learned that Nina Samuels is a snake, and not someone you want to get involved in a tag team with. We will likely see them clash in the coming weeks. Will Amale get revenge on her terrible tag team partner? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
