Three very combustible elements have all come together on this night. KUSHIDA & Dream have been clashing for well over a month, including a very physical grudge match at NXT Takeover 31 which saw KUSHIDA come out on top. He looked to follow that match up by beating Ciampa, but Dream broke that match up. Now having drawn the ire of the Psycho Killer, a chaotic triple threat match is here, and kicks off tonight.
Dream Has A Hard Time Getting Started
Ciampa would get things started in a hurry, attacking during Dreams entrance, who was sporting a lovely purple cast Ciampa would quickly drop both men on the outside before setting his sights on Dream to try and make this a singles match. Finally in the ring, KUSHIDA would bring the fight to Ciampa. After some excellent back and forth from KUSHIDA & Ciampa, Dream would finally make his way into this match, much to the displeasure of the crowd.
Dream spent too much time showboating, and that’s not a good move when you’re facing Ciampa. He’d maul dream in the corner, and KUSHIDA took this as a chance to attack Ciampa, and then went for his handspring elbow on both men. KUSHIDA would be caught and hit with the Dream Valley Driver, before we went to a commercial break.
KUSHIDA Gets Some Big Help
Coming back in, KUSHIDA & Ciampa were going at it in the ring, with Dream on the outside. Dream tried to trip them up, KUSHIDA just came outside and trapped him on the ground with an armbar, a submission not counting there. He’d hit an armbreaker on Ciampa next, before taking him into the ring, and going for a hip toss into an armbar.
Dream would soar in from off-screen to break the hold up with the Purple Rainmaker. He’d go for a pinfall, Ciampa breaking it up. Dream would try to press this advantage, hitting a Dream Valley Driver for a near fall, KUSHIDA breaking it up. KUSHIDA would take out both men and hit dives to the outside, before coming back into the ring right into Willows Bell. Ciampa was unable to set up the Fairytale Ending, and would be shoved into Dream who clobbered him with the cast on his left hand. KUSHIDA hit a big German Suplex, and got the big win, with a big assist.
