Ever since arriving in NXT UK, Jinny has felt like it’s her division. She’d taken the fight to people like Rhea Ripley, Piper Niven and more, she’s the reigning Progress Women’s Champion and has defeated the legendary Meiko Satomura yet still remains in the undercard facing the likes of Xia Brookside. Brookside has been steadily improving since making her NXT UK debut, but would Jinny put her down like every other time they’ve met?
Xia Brookside Puts Up A Fight
Jinny would start this by reminding Brookside that she has beaten her twice, and Brookside came in for a lockup and would roll out when Jinny took control. She’d end up right in a headlock, only to slip out with a handstand, and get an armdrag, putting Jinny down into an armbar. The knee would be ground into the face of Jinny, prompting her to get back to her feet in a hurry.
Jinny would apply an armbar, and Brookside would use the ropes to slip out and hit a dropkick. The official would get between Jinny & Brookside as Jinny took refuge in the ropes, only to hit a slap and follow it up quickly with a backbreaker, putting Brookside down for two. Brookside would be stomped into the mat a few times, before being picked up and thrown hard into the corner.
Her face would be grinded along the top rope, but when Brookside made it to the corner, she’d go for the hurricanrana. A failed monkey flip wouldn’t do much, but a second one sent Jinny across the ring, only for her to come back with a hard elbow to the jaw of Brookside. Jinny was sent into the corner and a big strike would stagger her, before Brookside tried for some pinfalls, only getting as far as two.
Jinny Puts This One Away, Has Something To Say
Brookside would stay on the offensive and apply an Indian Deathlock, and also rain some forearms down to the face of Jinny. She’d be shoved off, and the ropes would break the hold, and Jinny would hit the biggest strike of the match. Brookside would be verbally berated, Jinny saying this isn’t a ring for ‘little girls’ before being hit with one last flurry of offense from the rookie.
Finally looking to end this, Jinny would apply a modified STF in the middle of the ring, Brookside being forced to tap out. She’d take a microphone, and let Kay Lee Ray know that she better watch her back.
