WWE Smackdown Results loved how as they were announced, Reigns belt the championship up in front for Strowman, and it cut to Jey Use watching from the backstage area.
The match started with the pair locking up in the middle of the ring and Strowman pushing Reigns around the ring before Reigns pivoted and sent Strowman to the floor.
Reigns then hit a Superman Punch on Strowman as he was on the apron.
Reigns headed out of the ring and hit with a running dropkick before rolling Strowman into the ring for a near pinfall.
Reigns continued hammering on Strowman, and then caught Strowman’s charge with an Undertaker uppercut and a big boot for a near pinfall.
After Strowman kicked out, Reigns headed outside and was on the apron when Strowman charged him. Reigns pulled the ropes down and Strowman headed to the floor.
Reigns threw him into the barricade and then the ring steps, before bouncing Stroman’s head off the announce table before pushing him away.
Strowman caught Reign’s Superman Punch attempt off the ring step and threw him over the announce table, then knocked him over the barricade as we headed to commercial.
Alternate solutions
Back from commercial, and they were back in the ring and Strowman threw Reigns acrss the ring, then hit with a clubbing blow to Reigns’ chest for a near pinfall.
Strowman ran into a boot in the corner, then hit the ring psot when Reigns sidestepped him.
Strowman caught him in the air during another Superman Punch attempt, and hit a power bomb face slam and stood over Reigns, saying he wasn’t finished with him.
Strowman followed it with a chokeslam for a near pinfall, and it was shown that Reigns kicked out with the thanks of a low blow.
Reigns hit a spear for a near pinfall.
Reigns measured Strowman but Strowman caught his spear attempt and tried a running powerslam, but Reigns slipped out and Strowman hit the turnbuckle.
Reigns then locked in a guillotine and leg scissors submission and the referee called the match when Strowman didn’t respond for a submission win.
Sending a message
Jey Uso then came out, but stayed on the ramp. The two had a stare down, and Reigns hit Strowman with another spear to send a message to Jey.
Jey slowly came to the ring when Reigns motioned for him to come down. Heyman was kind enough to hand Reigns a steel chair.
Reigns pointed to Strowman and said that’s how they eat and take care of generations.
Reigns claimed he didn’t want to do to Jey what he did to Strowman, and then he hit Strowman with the chair three times before officials came out.
Reigns chased off the officials and hit Strowman another three times until Jey got on the apron.
Reigns invited him into the ring, and said he loves him and would never hurt him, but Jey’s embarrassing him and the family.
Reigns said it makes no sense and he still loves Jey. Reigns then kicked the chair to Jey and dared him to take a shoat at Reigns back as Reigns turned around.
Jey picked up the chair and threw it down.
Reigns turned back around smiling and went to embrace Hey.
Jey hit him with a right, then a superkick off the ropes. He then snapped and beat Reigns with the chair saying he loves him, too.
The referees pulled Jey back and Reigns used the opportunity to hit him with a Superman Punch.
A pretty cool ending
This was a pretty good show overall and the matches were better than WWE Smackdown Results expected with the New Day’s match being the match of the night by far.
The WWE went all out to promote this with anyone in the ring talking about the upcoming matches and superstars like Keith Lee and Ric Flair in the Thunderdome audience.
