‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers here, and we’re all set for some more spoilery goodies as we’re going to shift gears slightly as a new layer or two of complications are added in.
To be fair, it’s not like we ever expected a peaceful day in Salem; it’s the show’s charm as the show runner and writers have no problem attempting something fun.

As NBC “Days of Our Lives” mentioned, a new layer is going to be added as Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) will put each other on notice.
We expect this to come about following Gwen admitting to Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain) how much Jake Lambert (Brandon Barish) cheating hurt her.
We think she’ll want a measure of revenge, and since Kate’s his newest plus one, she’s going to be Gwen’s focus.
Of course, Kate’s no stranger to a fight and we feel she’ll win this one eventually, but first she’ll probably threaten Gwen and then begin the process of eliminating her from the conversation in some fun way.
Fun for us, we thought we should add.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Thursday, December 10: The visit
Not all of this episode is going to be doom and gloom or preparations for war as Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) visit Joey Johnson (James Lastovic) in prison.
This will undoubtedly be one of the most touching moments we’ve seen in a while as Kayla and Steve inform Joey he’s free or soon will be.
This also brings up the question as to whether Kayla gave into Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun)’s demands or not.
If she didn’t then she’ll make a point of telling her son she’ll stand by his side no matter what, and this could be a moment where she understands Steve’s position a little more.
She may not agree, but she may understand him.
If she did, and NBC “Days of Our Lives” Spoilers doubts this, then she’ll be ready to welcome him home and let Ava take Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) away, so two purposes will be served in her mind.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Thursday, December 10: Plenty of suspicion
Gwen really ramped up Jennifer’s frustration over Jack Deveraux (Mathew Ashford)’s lies and betrayal, and we expect her to be borderline paranoid for a while.
This will lead to her questioning if Jack told her the truth about the affair only being that one time, and she may even spot them somewhere talking. And if either of them laugh, it’s going to be bad for them.
Another interesting thought with this is she could begin spying on them, and what’ll happen if she discovers Kate and Jake are a thing?
That’ll blow the lid off of things but it could help her find a way back to Jack at some point.
