‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers here and we’re all set to close out the year with a bang, but Salem’s already gotten a head start on new year shenanigans.
With plenty going on, it’s going to be fun watching everything unfold with a bag of popcorn in one hand and some tissues in the other.
Let’s get to the popcorn edition first.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers For December 31: Gwen’s trappings
Gwen Davies (Emily O’Brien) has plenty of schemes working, so it’s bound that a couple of them would meet with some modicum success.
With everything set up for her to finally win, all she needs is for Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to continue down his downward spiral into stupidity, and it looks like he’s doing just that.
Although we can’t really blame him given the circumstances, but ‘Days of Our Lives’ thinks he’d be smart enough to do some investigating of his own instead of taking Gwen’s word.
But then the story would be short and we wouldn’t get so much entertainment.
While Gwen’s on the verge of gaining a win, Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) and Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) will do some digging in Gwen’s closet.
We’re curious what finally set them off, but it’s going to be fun seeing some of Gwen’s secrets exposed. This should add some layers to the story as the layers are peeled away from the mystery.
This is going to be a fun one.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers For December 31: Beginnings and Endings
Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Jake Lambert (Brandon Banus) have been walking a narrow line between being found out and keeping things secret, but the cat’s out of the bag.
With Abigail finding out, we think Jake’s going to tell Kate to prepare her, and she’ll react with horror at the world, and Chad, finding out.
This will lead to a back and forth between them, and lead to Jake thinking or realizing that she’s ashamed of him.
This will be where the tissues will come in handy as ‘Days of Our Lives’ expect both to really ramp it up and bring the feels.
Will they come back from this? Time will tell.
But we don’t want to end this on the down swing, so we’re happy to say we’ll get to see Jack Deveraux (Mathew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain) will continue reconciling.
This is something we’ve been waiting to happen, and it helps to put things into balance and give us one couple that’s heading into the new year on the upswing.
