WWE Raw Results tuned in as they started off with Ricochet landing some strikes and he then took Ali down for some ground and pound.
Ricochet his with a chop and a right hand as he continued hammering Ali before hitting a body slam and an elbow drop for a pin attempt.
Ricochet ducked under Ali’s attack and hit a leg scissors takedown and a dropkick for a near pinfall.
Ricochet hit a back body drop off the ropes, but Ali pulled him into the corner and returned a couple of chops before throwing him into another corner and hitting a neckbreaker for a near pinfall.
Ricochet shoved Ali over the top rope and they traded blows on the apron and the two fought to the top rope.
Slapjack and then Reckoning distracted the referee so T-Bar and Mace could throw Ricochet into the barricade.
Ali hit a splash off the top rope and onto the floor as we headed to commercial.
Ricochet never gives up
Back from commercial, Ali was in control in the ring as he hammered away on Ricochet.
Ricochet fought back, but Ali hit a Back Stabber for a near pinfall.
Ali stomped him and then locked in a reverse chin lock. Ricochet fought to his feet, but Ali dropped him with one shot, and Ali hit a body slam and an elbow for a near pinfall.
Ali went back to the reverse chin lock to wear Ricochet down.
Ricochet countered a suplex by shoving Ali into a corner, but Ali flipped over his charge. Ali then ran into an elbow and Ricochet kicked out Ali’s legs and flipped over Ali and hit a release German suplex.
Ricochet hit a discus clothesline and hit a kickback for a pin that Mace saved by pulling Ali out of the ring.
That should’ve been a disqualification but wasn’t. Retribution climbed onto the apron and Ricochet took out T-Bar with a DDT to the floor.
He then caught Slapjack in midair with a dropkick and ducked under Mace’s clothesline and slipped into the ring.
He headed to the other side and hit Ali on the apron with a dropkick before ducking another swipe by Mace, and dropped Mace with a DDT on the floor.
Ricochet threw Ali into the ring and headed to the top rope but Ali got his knees up to block and shooting star splash and he locked him into a choke hold for the win.
After the match, Ali asked Ricochet when was he going to learn he’s got no chance. Ali offered him a chance to wipe clean all his regrets and have a new beginning.
He asked Ricochet to join Retribution, to which he said he will not join them and he hit a recoil and ran off.
Jax’s New Year Resolutions
Backstage, Charly interviewed Nia Jax, who said Flair has a reason to fear her and it warms her heart.
With Baszler counting them down, Jax listed her own New Year’s Resolutions.
- Stopping Flair’s climb to the top since she’s on the first rung.
- Was to get the tag team belts back with her and Baszler where they belong.
- Which was a shock to Baszler, Jax said to join the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, win, and face whoever the champion might be at WrestleMania.
Baszler added that she likes that idea. Guess she’s joining her partner in the Royal Rumble and WWE Raw Results are looking forward to it.
Charly then interviewed Drew McIntyre about him facing Keith Lee next week and asked if he has anything to say.
He said he’s excited since there’s going to be so many superstars that paved the way will be there.
He added that he’s been waiting for Lee to step up, and he saw the spark in his eyes and announced Lee’s ready.
