WWE Smackdown Results returned as the lumberjack headed to the ring looking in a festive mood, and it looks like it’s Smackdown’s entire men’s roster
Zayn handed his Sami Awards to the referee and then climbed in to talk some smack before he was ready to go.
They locked up and Big E pushed Zayn around the ring before Zayn entered the ropes to ropes to break the hold.
Zayn locked in a reverse waist lock, but Big E quickly broke it and flipped him over his shoulder and Big E went for a quick pin attempt.
After leapfrogging Zayn off the ropes, Big E hit a reverse elbow and then charged Zayn in the corner.
Zayn used a drop toe hold to send Big E into the turnbuckle face first and proceeded to stomp on Big E before he rolled out of the ring.
On the floor, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, and the Knights of the Lone Wolf attacked Big E before throwing him back into the ring.
Zayn hammered away with a series of rights and threw Big E back to the wolves, and they stomped him before throwing him into the ring.
They threw him back into the ring for a pin attempt.
Zayn looked like he wanted to hit a suplex, but Big E rolled through it and tried to lock in a submission but Zayn made it to the ropes.
Zayn rolled to the floor, but back toward the ring as he was surrounded by the face lumberjacks. Big E grabbed him by his hair and pulled him up to the apron.
Zayn hung Big E up on the rope and ran him into a turnbuckle. Zayn tried it a second time, but Big E put the breaks on.
Big E hit an elbow, and then he nailed him with a clothesline before headed to the apron where he stomped on Zayn, but Big E missed the Big Splash as Zayn rolled into the ring.
The heels attacked Big E again, but as he fought back, Zayn hit a moonsault over the top rope as we headed to commercial.
Big E regains hit title
WWE Smackdown Results returned from commercial as Zayn remained in control in the ring as he choked Big E out on the ropes.
Zayn then removed his shirt and threw it into Big E’s face, but after a couple of rights, Big E caught him off the ropes and hit two bely to belly suplexes.
Zayn fought out of a third, but he ran into a nuriagi for a near pinfall.
Zayn slipped out of the Big Ending and tried to slip out of the ring and over the barricade, but the faces grabbed him and dragged him back over the barricade and pushed him into the ring.
Big E tried to lock in a submission, but Zayn stuck a thumb in Big E’s eye and rolled him up for a near pin.
Big E sent Zayn over the tope rope and ran into a knee. Zayn headed to the top rope, but Big E caught him with a couple of rights.
Zayn fought back and hit a sunset flip powerbomb for a near pinfall.
Zayn went for a Helluva Kick, but Big E sidestepped it, and then hit Zayn with a spear and drove him to the floor.
Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura attacked Big E on the floor and threw him in, but Apollo Crews attacked Cesaro while Akira Tozawa went after Nakamura.
The faces tried to throw Zayn into the ring, but he fought them off and ducked a blow by Drew Gulak that hit Cesaro. The lumberjacks then started to brawl while Zayn cowered at the ring and the headed up the ring.
Crews chased him down and the rest of the faces picked him up and carried him back to the ring and tossed him in.
Zayn missed a clothesline, and Big E hit a belly to belly and a big splash and Big Ending for the win.
As Big E celebrated on the shoulders of the face lumberjacks and amidst confetti, Zayn sat against the barricade formulating a way to get hit title back.
WWE Smackdown love that Big E has the Intercontinental Championship again, and we hope he holds it for a long time and takes it to new heights.
