It’s been nearly a year since Edge returned to the WWE and June since WWE Raw Results last heard from him and she said 2020 taught us not to sleep on tomorrow.
If we have a dream, we need to fight and work toward it everyday and that if we’re in a tough place we need to dust ourselves off and get back up.
He then talked about ten years ago at WrestleMania 27 and how a week afterwards he had to forfeit the championship he just won due to his injury.
She said that when he told his mom he wanted to be a wrestler, she told him to go and do it. She said that lit a fire in him and for nine years he fought to get his career back.
Edge added that when Randy Orton tore his triceps, it took everything away from him again, but he knew he had to fight.
He said he knew his mom would tell him to just go and do it, and announced he’s going to enter the Royal Rumble.
He needs to win the Rumble, main event WrestleMania, and win back what he never lost. He’ll fight with every breath in his body to make that dream a reality.
Edge added that a world without dreamers is a less magical place, and quoted Henry Ford in that “Whether you think you can, or think you can’t you’re right.”
He said he thinks he can. WWE Raw Results are curious to see if he’ll get a final run like Goldberg, or if there are other plans for Edge.
Raw Women’s Championship – Asuka (c) vs. Alexa Bliss
WWE Raw Results returned as the match started off with them circling each other before Bliss feigned a lockup while her smiling never wavered.
Bliss locked in a rear waist lock, but Asuka fought out of it with an elbow, kicked, and then throwing Bliss across the ring twice.
Asuka then stomped her down in a corner and locked in an arm bar.
Bliss fought out if it with a right, a kick, and another right. Asuka then ran to the corner and the second rope and hit a missile dropkick.
Asuka followed that with a hip attack that Bliss sidestepped. Bliss nailed her with a kick that sent Asuka to the floor.
In the ring, carnival music played and Bliss was on a rocking horse while waving to Asuka.
Sweet Bliss
Back from commercial, they’re back in the ring and Asuka is in control as she kicked Bliss down in the corner and tried to whip her across the ring.
Bliss reversed the whip and sent Asuka into the corner, and Asuka climbed the ropes and went for a missile dropkick that Bliss sidestepped.
Bliss hit a double knee and then a dropkick for a pin attempt, then kicked Asuka down in a corner.
Bliss snapmared her over and locked in a reverse chin lock.
Asuka tried to fight out of the hold but Bliss threw her to the mat for a pin attempt and then locked in another chin lock.
Asuka got to her feet and hit a couple of elbows, then hit with a kick when Bliss charged her.
Asuka hit a shoulder block and a knee strike and hit attack, followed by a German Suplex.
A kick to the face was followed by a pin attempt, but Bliss kicked out.
Asuka threw her into a corner and hit a couple of kicks. But when she turned around Bliss was dressed in her old outfit and crying.
She did a great job playing being terrified, and when Asuka charged her she sidestepped her and sent Asuka face first into the middle turnbuckle.
Bliss then went to the opposite corner as the power failed and the Fiendess appeared.
Asuka was terrified but attacked. Bliss effortlessly blocked her attacks and Asuka’s knee didn’t phase her.
Orton’s ending
Asuka tried to lock in the Asuka Lock, but Bliss overpowered her and Bliss slapped on the Mandible Claw.
Orton appeared behind Bliss with his burned face on display and hit her with an RKO as the show ended.
This wasn’t a bad ending, and to be honest it was really the only way to go without making Asuka or Bliss look weak in losing.
Though that could’ve been avoided by not booking the match at all, but it’s the WWE way.
Overall, the show failed to meet the standards of the last two weeks mainly due to the first hour being rough at best.
