WWE Smackdown Results returned as Reginald carried a tray with a glass of champagne and offered it to Sasha Banks.
She told him he needs to show her respect and he apologized. She asked if he believed her can beat Carmella and he once more agreed.
She then told him to give Carmella her regards but kept the glass of champagne.
Big E’s open challenge
In the ring, Big E had the floor and said how he overcame the odds in his Intercontinental Championship match last week.
He then said like Tom Brady on a celebratory boat parade, he was still standing.
He said he vowed to be a fighting champion like the bond between hair follicles and Gorilla Glue.
As soon as he mentioned putting the Sami Zayn and Apollo Crews chapter behind him, Crews came out.
Crews said he can read him and knows he’s going to offer an open championship and accepted his challenge.
Big E said he’s partially right as he was going to offer a shot to anyone but Crews.
Crews called him out as claiming he’s a fighting champion and that he’s supposed to take on all challengers.
The mic failed as Big E responded, but it came back on in time to hear Big E tell him to go back to the catering table.
They jawed back and forth and Big E told him to go to the back and Crews refused. So, Bug E said to bring out his next challenged and Shinsuke Nakamura came out.
Intercontinental Championship – Big E (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
The match was already in progress when we came back from commercial and Nakamura was in control and hit a running kick for a pin attempt.
Nakamura kicked him down in the corner while Crews prowled outside. Nakamura charged in but Big E hit him with a shoulder block, then pulled Nakamura to the apron to hit some clubbing blows and a splash.
Big E pushed Nakamura into the ring for a cover but Nakamura kicked out while Crews stood on the apron.
Nakamura hit with a kick and went for a reverse exploder that Big E fought out of.
Nakamura then hit with a knee when Big E charged him in the corner and followed that by draping Big E across the top rope in the corner for a running knee.
Nakamura went into the second rope and hit a leaping knee for a near pinfall.
Nakamura then hit several knee strikes and went for a kinsasha, but Big E caught him in the air but Nakamura hit a step up kick.
Big E caught Nakamura’s next kinsasha attempt with a one-armed slam and readied to hit a Big Ending.
Big E let him go as Crews ran in and hit him with a dropkick to get Nakamura disqualified.
