Big Show has revealed some of his fondest and scariest moments during his infamous rivalry with Brock Lesnar.
Big Show Looks Back On His Rivalry With Brock Lesnar
Big Show has been honest in the past over how intimidating Brock was. He even admitted to ‘s**tting his pants’ when he came face to face. He had also acknowledged how impenetrable his defence was. But it is Brock’s lighthearted manner that does not get enough recognition.
In an interview with Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, Big Show stated how the two set about scaring some fans. He said: “I remember pictures going off, people are screaming; someone snatched his glasses off. He looked at everybody like this, and everyone pulled their cameras down. And everyone there got scared. Then he flinched, and 300 people went “HUH!”
Brock, though, is no stranger to getting on the wrong end of a joke. He experienced this in the past with Big Show himself. During a previous battle between the two, Big Show had reportedly suffered from diarrhoea to the detriment of Brock, given that it happened inside the ring, while Brock was flat in his face.
In an interview by Rod Pedersen, he revealed how some food poisoning led to Big Show’s stomach issues. He said: “Lesnar slammed him to the canvas and his opponent exploded with diarrhoea all over him!” The two wrestlers have, nevertheless, been instrumental in each other’s careers. And it is here that Big Show credits Brock for that.
After all, Big Show has achieved so much in WWE, and he is now looking to make some similar headway in AEW. His brand has grown globally to the point where he is considered an academic of the sport as shown by his commentary aspirations. That is why Brock knew he was working with a legend: “For a long time I had a lot of heat up there (in WWE) Brock knew me. And they asked Brock, and he said ‘I want to work with the Giant,” said Big Show.
With Big Show having switched to AEW, a match up with Brock looks unlikely. Nevertheless, if Brock’s contract situation does not clear up, then a switch to AEW could also follow. His reported $3 million demand looks increasingly unlikely, so there is still hope for that dream bout.
