This week Impact Wrestling is celebrating a milestone as James Storm will wrestling his 1000th match in TNA/Impact.
It’s easy to look at professional wrestling and the fact it’s scripted and the outcomes are predetermined and not take it seriously, and that’s the double edged sword of sports entertainment.
For us and many fans we appreciate the wear and tear that their bodies go through over the years, especially given the length of time it takes to reach a milestone like 1000 matches for one company.
It’s great to see someone maintain the level needed to entertain fans for years and at a top level with the same company.
Sure, he went to the WWE and wrestled elsewhere, but it feels right that James Storm reached this milestone with Impact and it’s being celebrated.
Coming full circle
What makes this especially awesome is Storm will be facing Eric Young. The pair broke into the company together and had their first match against one another, so this is perfect timing.
Add to it we’ve gotten to enjoy a cool storyline the last couple of months to build this feud rather than just having a dream match that happens for the sake of happening only makes this more special.
While Storm and Young are always entertaining in the ring, this match will bring back plenty of past memories Storm has given us.

Impact Wrestling has been sharing Storm’s top moments on their social media accounts, and Storm has commented on a few, sharing his personal insight and thoughts about those moments.
Best of the best
One of those they shared was when he won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, to which he said on the post, “As the saying goes that was the night that time stood still for me.”
Another that many of us will never forget was when he and Cliff Harris feuded as their tag team, America’s Most Wanted (AMW) ended in as glorious a fashion as imaginable.
On Impact Wrestling’s Instagram, they shared that moment and he once again commented: “This is one of my favorites. We liked beating each other up. I remember my ears popping from losing so much blood after hitting my head on the concrete floor.”
Storm’s given us so many awesome moments in his twenty plus year career, and we appreciate everything and those he’s worked with have given.
Thank you for all the memories, and we hope to see you give us many more.
