Salem continues to set itself apart as the place to go when a criminal wants to blackmail themselves out of a prison term, a mob princess is at the mercy of her best friend, and there’s an amnesiac romance.
Not too shabby, huh?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Monday, April 5: Jan comes out ahead
It takes a special kind of person to wake up from a comma and already plotting how to get free, and another one to actually get away with it.

We think Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) fits both categories as she’s ready to walk out of the hospital a free woman.
All she had to do was dangle John Black (Drake Hogestyn)’s freedom in front of Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer)’s noses.
Of course, she’ll be set free either in this episode or the next one, and we’re fully confident that stuff if going to hit the fan in the next few days when her release becomes known.
Then there’s the chance of her bumping into someone, like say John, at some point. What are the odds of that happening? Can’t be more than one-to one, right? Oh, that’s not very high…
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Monday, April 5: Nicole the secret keeper
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers are going to champion Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) to be a private detective of police office in Salem.
She’s seriously the best they have next to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
Seriously, no one’s better at getting the truth out of someone than she is, and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) is the latest in the line of people giving up their secrets to her.
Ava is also going to be the latest in the line of people that begged Nicole to keep their secret and then to have Nicole betray that trust by going to Rafe.
Nicole may even point that out, in which case Ava could confess to Rafe about what happened to her son but tweak it to protect Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams).
We really hope they don’t rerun this idea twice in the same storyline as they could turn off a few fans, ourselves included.
But it’ll be interesting to see what comes of their chat, especially after Nicole and Ava shared such a heartfelt, tear inducing moment.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers Monday, April 5: Ciara’s unnerved
After all of his efforts, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will find something that’ll connect him with Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal), but it may not end like he hopes.
We’re thinking he’s going to order Chinese food and have it delivered so Ciara doesn’t think he’s trying to poison her, and either while eating or possible after reading a fortune cookie something will click.
The downside is Ciara won’t know how to process that she’s in love with and married to the Neck Tie Killer, so she’ll retreat further into herself when the emotions flood over her.
This could cause her to decide not to be hypnotized, but maybe it’ll galvanize her to do just that to prove those feelings are false.
This is definitely going to get interesting in the coming days.
