The now-retired UFC fighter made significant waves as she was part of the infamous ‘Four Horsewomen’ line up. And through her sporadic appearances, she did make some headlines. During an in-ring performance with The Rock, she notoriously got involved in a heated exchange involving Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
As The Rock battered Triple H, Ronda finished the job by throwing the latter out of the ring. And she did not stop there, as Stephanie got the same treatment. But for all the thrills, Ronda walked away after becoming unhappy with the rigorous travel schedule. And yet, now is the perfect time to make a comeback.
During an interview on Table Talk, Ronda revealed she would make a return but refused to give a timeframe. She said: “I don’t know [the date] when I feel like it. Eventually, when I feel like. I don’t know.” Ronda, for her part, had made many friendships along the way. She had famously butted heads with Charlotte Flair.
While Charlotte has continued to go on strong since, in her own right, Ronda praised her contribution in helping her find her feet. She added: “Given the fact that we never worked together before and that we had a day and a half to put the whole thing together. I really think me and Charlotte had a lot of great chemistry.”
Aside from her ring aspirations, are there any plans for Ronda to make a return to the UFC? Surprisingly, it is very unlikely. And who could blame her? After all, she was knocked out by Holly Holm, which ended her 6 successful title defences. And then, following another return, she suffered a TKO at the hands of Amanda Nunes.
But it is not just the competition that has put her off. The sport is clearly very draining. She continued: “[In wrestling there is] none of the cutting weight, and none of the weeks of build-up. You do build-up, but it’s not the same. It’s all the best parts. The major difference is the lack of stress. At WrestleMania, it kind of just felt like another day. I wasn’t freaking out.”
