Wrestlemania 37 is just days away at this point, as we get our first WWE show with a paying crowd in over a year. They have just about sold out the tickets to the two night event in Florida, which has numerous huge matches in the works. However, we don’t really know what the two main events will actually be. Unlike New Japan Pro Wrestling, WWE generally keeps their match order for shows a closely guarded secret. Let’s look at the various potential main events two these shows!
Roman Reigns Claims To Be The Main Event, And Likely Will Main Event Wrestlemania 37 – Night Two
First up is the match that is all but confirmed to be the main event on the second night of Wrestlemania 37. Edge won the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble, and chose the Universal Champion Roman Reigns for his challenge. At Fastlane 2021, Edge was the special guest enforcer for Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan, a match that served as a catalyst for adding Bryan to the Wrestlemania match.
This triple threat match is likely to steal whatever show it ends up on, with three of the best in the sport today involved. It is most likely to be the main event of the Sunday show, and rightfully so. This does leave Night One wide open however.
Night One Has Three Potential Main Event Matches
When looking at the matches announced for Night One of Wrestlemania 37, three matches stand out as potential main event matches. Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre over the WWE Championship stands out, as it’s a safe choice. It’s for one of the top titles and features two heavy hitters. If WWE wants a classic main event, this is the choice.
There is also Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks. Belair, much like Edge, was a winner at the 2021 Royal Rumble event. It should in theory give a main event match, but the feud has not been what fans have expected or wanted from Belair & Banks, and previous year winners like Charlotte Flair & Seth Rollins didn’t main event. That set a precedent that could be followed with this match.
Finally, there is a non-zero chance that John Morrison & The Miz vs. Bad Bunny & Damian Priest will be the main event. This sounds outlandish, but remember that Lawrence Taylor & Bam Bam Bigelow once main evented a Wrestlemania! It won’t happen, but it could.
